FAQ

How long can I keep an indoor plant alive?

Indoor plants can survive up to ten years. It is vital to repot your plants every few months in order to encourage new growth. Repotting is easy; simply remove the old soil and add fresh compost.

Do I have enough space to plant a vegetable or fruit garden in my backyard?

It's possible to wonder if you will have enough space for a vegetable or fruit garden if your current one is not available. The answer to that question is yes. A vegetable garden doesn't take up much space at all. It's all about planning. For instance, raised beds could be constructed only 6 inches high. Or you can use containers to build raised beds. You will still have plenty of produce, regardless of which method you choose.

What is the difference in hydroponics and aquaponics?

Hydroponic gardening makes use of nutrient-rich water rather than soil to grow plants. Aquaponics combines fish tanks with plants to create a self-sufficient ecosystem. It's like having your farm right in your home.

What vegetables do you recommend growing together?

Because they are both fond of similar soil conditions and temperatures, it is easy to grow peppers and tomatoes together. They can complement each other because tomatoes require heat to mature, and peppers require lower temperatures for their optimal flavor. If you want to try growing them together, start seeds indoors about six weeks before planting them. Once the weather gets warmer, transplant your pepper and tomato plants outdoors.
